Support Groups


Although epilepsy is widely recognized by the public, it is poorly understood, even among people who know someone with the disorder. Public misunderstanding and stigma can limit life opportunities for people with epilepsy.


If you are interested in forming a new support group, call this office at 405-463-0673 for more information. We would love to visit with you about your ideas

Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority (COTPA) serves Oklahoma City and Midwest City. For route information call (405) 235-RIDE.

If you are a person with disabilities and want information on lift-equipped transportation (Metro Lift) or subsidized tax program (Share-a- Fare) or the program to take people to shop (STEP), call Jackie Beason at 405-297-2583 and ask for an application and brochure describing the program, receive information on routes, fares and senior/disability discount passes at

After Hours:
For information regarding after-hours services (7 pm to midnight on weekdays or 7am to 7pm on Sundays) contact MetroLink at (405) 688-6552 with reservations at least 24 hrs in advance, most fixed-route buses pass through the Transit Center at N.W. 4th Street and Hudson in downtown Oklahoma City, fares for fixed-route buses are $1.50 and no change is made on the bus and no transfers are provided.

Non-emergency transportation to doctor’s appointments for applicants who are eligible for Sooner Care services, call 7am to 6pm, 877-404-4500, reserve 3 days in advance, trip authorization numbers are necessary for each trip, to inquire about rides which are more than 15 minutes late call 800-435-1034, if your medical appointment is cancelled notify Soonerride as much in advance as possible at 877-404-4500.

North Care Mental Health Center:
This is one community mental health center at 1140 N. Hudson in Oklahoma City which provides transportation to its own clients from their homes to day treatment, call (405) 272-0660.

Hope Community Services:
This is one community mental health center at 105 S.E. 45th in Oklahoma City which provides transportation to day treatment. Occasionally, case managers will provide transportation for their clients to see a psychiatrist, call (405) 634-4400.

  Red Rock Behavioral Health Services:
This is one community mental health facility which provides transportation for its clients to their day-treatment programs, call (405) 634-4400. The location is 4400 N. Lincoln, OKC.
Cleveland Area Rapid Transit is the bus company in Norman and it offers bus service within the city of Norman as well as express service between Norman and Oklahoma City several round trips per day. The main number is (405) 325-2278.

For the Cart Access program (lift-equipped van only within the city of Norman) call (405) 325-5438.

There is no subsidized taxi service in Norman. Use fares on a fixed-route bus are $.50 and transfers are available. Bus passes for certain periods of time are available for people with disabilities and people with low income.
CitylinkEdmond is the bus company in Edmond, for route information contact or call (405) 509-6370. Offers five fixed routes within the city of Edmond itself with express bus service to Oklahoma City several times per day. Bus rides are free to the public, all buses arrive and depart from the CityLink Transfer Center at Festival Market Place (one block West of Broadway on First Street with the exception of Route 4 Broncholink which is around the campus of University of Central Oklahoma, Citywide Access (CAP) is the paratransit program providing lift-equipped vans for eligible population curb to curb with no charge (call main number for application).
